Soiling Loss
Generation lost to dust, bird droppings and pollution on the module glass, and the single most recoverable loss in an Indian solar plant.
Scale of the problem
1-2% a month in clean coastal air, 10-25% within weeks near cement plants, quarries, highways or in pre-monsoon dust. Unlike degradation it is fully reversible — it is lost revenue sitting on the glass.
Cleaning on evidence, not on calendar
The right cycle is set by the measured soiling rate against the cost of cleaning, not by a fixed monthly visit. We monitor the soiling ratio and clean when the lost generation exceeds the cost of the clean. Waterless robotic cleaning pays for itself fast where water is scarce or expensive.
