150 MWp Utility-Scale Solar Park — Rajasthan
Rajasthan, India · Utilities & IPPs
Overview
A 150 MWp single-axis tracker plant with bifacial modules, built against a 25-year PPA with a 220 kV evacuation interface. Commissioned in phases so early blocks began earning while the balance was still under construction.
The challenge
The PPA fixed the tariff from signature, so every week of delay was unrecoverable revenue. The site sat in wind Zone 4 with high pre-monsoon dust, and the 220 kV bay was on the critical path with a utility whose schedule we did not control.
What we did
We phased commissioning in 25 MWp blocks against the bay availability rather than waiting for full completion, designed the tracker structure for Zone 4 at 47 m/s, and set the cleaning cycle from measured soiling rate. Bifacial gain over the light desert soil was modelled at 8.5% and verified at 8.2% in the first full year.
