4 MWp Solar + 5 MWh Storage — Multi-Speciality Hospital
Karnataka, India · Hospitals & Healthcare
Overview
A 4 MWp rooftop and carport array with 5 MWh of LFP storage, designed around a 24x7 critical load to cut both the evening tariff and diesel runtime.
The challenge
Hospital load does not fall at sunset, and the site was paying a time-of-day tariff nearly 2.6 times the midday rate between 18:00 and 22:00, plus running DG during outages at over ₹24 a unit.
What we did
Storage was sized against twelve months of half-hourly interval data rather than a rule of thumb, targeting the evening ToD window and the monthly demand peak. The EMS holds critical circuits through outages, cutting DG runtime by 71% in the first year.
