8 MWp Industrial Rooftop — Textile Cluster, Gujarat
Gujarat, India · Textile & Processing
Overview
8 MWp across eleven process sheds in a textile cluster, mounted non-penetratively on metal sheet roofing and wired to displace daytime process load behind the meter.
The challenge
The existing roof sheeting could not accept penetrations without voiding its warranty, and the structural assessment allowed only 12 kg/m² of additional dead load. Process load also swung sharply with shift changes, risking export at a far lower rate than the retail tariff.
What we did
A clamp-on non-penetrative system kept the roof warranty intact and the array at 11.4 kg/m². Array sizing was matched to the measured daytime baseline rather than the connected load, holding self-consumption above 96% so almost every unit offsets the ₹8.40 retail tariff instead of being exported.
